Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some answers to frequently asked questions
There is no wrong answer when it comes to what length of a session you should book, or how frequently you should come in whether it is monthly, biweekly, or weekly. The key is to make it consistent over time. You are training your nervous system to reset and the more that you do it the easier it gets.
Weekly: Generally, if you want to experience the maximum benefit either towards your overall wellness, injury recovery, nervous system support, as part of a concentrated technique (microcurrent facial protocol or cupping therapy) and it is within your budget, a weekly session will give you what you are looking for.
Bi-Weekly: For folks who want a regular bodywork practice for preventing or healing injury, managing tension and pain in the body, for health benefits etc, a biweekly (every other week) schedule will be soon enough so that your tension patterns don’t have enough time to set in too deep without being too soon since your last one.
Monthly/Seasonal: For folks who want more of an occasional reset that will feel restorative and bring many health benefits if weekly or biweekly is out of your budget, a monthly or seasonal session might be a good fit for you. The whole goal is to find a consistency that works best for you and stick with it to experience the cumulative benefit.
60 Minute Session
This is a perfect amount of time to receive a full-body bodywork session with one focus areas; or a few focus areas but then not contacting the whole body.
75 Minute Session
This is perfect for a full body session with a couple focus areas, or one focus area even deeper. This gives you a little more time for your nervous system to reset.
90 Minute Session
The most popular option to receive a thorough full body session with a few focus areas. It is often a sweet spot for a deeply relaxing experience. It gives just enough time for the nervous system to release the tension and then dip into that liminal space where the deeper work happens. Highly Recommended.
120 Minute Session
The best of the best. Not only is this a great amount of time for a full body session, but it gives you the space to really explore, to receive detailed therapeutic work, and add on specialty services without taking away time from other focal points. A gift of time and spaciousness for your system to unwind. Treat yourself.
At the beginning of each session we will spend about 10 minutes to get settled and check in about what’s coming up for you right now.
How are you are feeling? Where are you holding tension? What stressors are you currently experiencing? How is your system supporting you right now? What are your challenges? What is working? We start with customizing your care plan and set intentions for the session.
After you enter the room and get on the table under the blanket, Lee will come in and and help you get more comfortable. After the session has finished, feel free to take your time getting off of the table and coming out to the other room. Imagine your system is still integrating and it helps if it is slow.
When you come back into the sitting room we can check in again about what you noticed, and really take a moment to give your system time to transition. We will chat a bit about anything that came up for you, new sensory experiences, the places your mind wandered to, and revelations you had. & we can set an intention for your next session.
